I am currently working on my master’s thesis in collaboration with the BEDLAN and Human Life History Group research teams. My thesis investigates an idea proposed by Timo Rantanen et al 2021, which relates to predicting actual migrations in early 19th-century Finland. I am also examining how factors such as gender and social class influenced people’s migration behaviour during that time period.
I have a background in biology, with minors in geography and classical archaeology. These studies have provided a strong foundation for understanding my current research topic. I am particularly interested in human life history traits and evolution and how I can integrate humanistic and social science perspectives, such as archaeology, history, and psychology, into biology and other natural sciences.
